General
Your ProtectItSafe Hard Drive is formatted and ready to run.
Power
Plug the supplied cable into the Power Socket located at the back, connect other end to your Power Supply
ProtectItSafe is designed to run from 100 VAC - 240 VAC supply, it is important to stipulate your preferred mains power plug type when purchasing.
The Power Supply feeds 2 Power Adapters, one for the Hard Drive the other to operate the Cooling system, the adapters are both housed within the base of the ProtectItSafe, the air is moved over these with a small quiet fan.
When Powered On the Display will brighten on the front panel, this also indicates fluid level for water cooling (see below)
USB
Plug the supplied 3 metre (118 inches) USB cable into the USB Socket located at the back, connect the other end to your USB Data source
It is important to keep in mind that if you require a longer Cable, joining cables together can affect the Data transfer.

Water Cooling Device
ProtectItSafe is fitted with a Water Cooling system, this circulates the coolant through the enclosure to keep the Hard Drive at an optimum temperature of approximately 20 Deg C (68 Deg F).
Because the Cooling system is fully enclosed evaporation is very minimal,
Please make a habit of checking the Level of Fluid as indicated by the Green Level/Power On indicator
The Fluid Level is indicated on the Front Panel as below

Ensure the ProtectItSafe is sitting level and is located with the base down
The Cooling System cools the outside of the fully sealed internal enclosure that encloses the Hard Drive
Fan Cooling
ProtectItSafe is fitted with 2 fans, one is for the cooling system the other is to give air flow over the Power Supply Adapters, these fans are very quiet running
Top Up the Reservoir
Top up with an approved Coolant Fluid such as Swiftech HydrX UV Reactive Coolant
Switch the ProtectItSafe off and disconnect the Power Supply
Pull the Draw with Water Cooler out until cables are tight, this will clear the draw of the Main Enclosure, do not force it once the cables are holding it.
Tilt the draw
so that the right hand side is higher than the left this will have the filler plug on top of the Reservoir at the higher side.

Use one large screw driver or two smaller ones as illustrated
Unscrew the Filler Plug, do not burr the edges
Top up as required
Screw Cap back into place, make sure the thread is not crossed, the cap needs to be done up tightly, a small amount of fluid will appear around cap, soak up with tissue.
Restart only when the Draw is back in correct position
Check the Cap for leakage after running for 30 minutes, tighten if necessary.
